In 1995 we founded Great Aunt Fannie's Attic as a designer and maker of women's scarves. Today, our collection of fine handcrafted accessories ranges from scarves and wraps to handbags and totes, all made in our New York studio. What we do
We see accessories as wearable art. Inspired by modern fashion- from the Arts and Crafts movement through 1960s mod-
we create accessories that enable the contemporary woman to escape the confines of conformity and experience a feeling of
freedom.
How we do it
We design each accessory to be:
1. Practical
For example, our Betty bag has a sliding loop to allow expansion. And our Colette scarf slips through an Ultrasuede closure
® to
always sit perfectly.
2. Distinctive
Our fabrics, for instance, include craced-ice crushed velvet for scarves and vintage style prints for handbags.
3. Well made
Our designs have details such as handbags with magnetic and decorative closures, and wraps with Swarovski crystals.
With this approach, we strive to create accessories that the discerning, independent-minded woman will appreciate and enjoy.
Care
Everything can be dry-cleaned.
Repairs
All bags can be repaired or revitalized at a starting charge of twenty-five dollars.
